Paul Margocsy

Paul was commissioned by Australia Post to do a stamp series which gives his work a sense of familiarity. Among his outstanding achievements are being chosen out of over 3,500 wildlife artists for a special exhibition in America’s Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. Paul was the only Australian artist.

With no official academic training, Paul Margocsy’s passion for wildlife is evident. With remarkable drawing skills and a photographic memory, Paul is able to capture more than just the scientific accuracy but the charm and character of his subjects. The humorous ‘songlike’ titles add to the personality and fascination.
